TIPS TO ENHANCE YOUR YOGA EXPERIENCE
Don't hesitate to ask questions before and/or after class. We are happy to help with clarifications, demonstrations, and anything else you need to make your practice more enjoyable.
Tell us about your injuries.
Prior to class, inform your teacher of any injuries or physical conditions that may affect your practice. We can offer modificaitons of poses to suit your needs.
Don't eat 2-3 hours before class.
Yoga is much more enjoyable on an empty stomach! All your energy should be focused on your practice; a body that is busy digesting food will have less energy to devote to the yoga practice.
Please arrive free of strong perfumes or colognes. Others can be sensitive to and distracted by heavy scents.
Wear comfortable clothing.
Clothes should not be constricting. It's likely that your class will include an upside-down posture, so you may be more comfortable wearing clothes that are somewhat fitted.
Leave your device behind.
If possible, please do not bring your phone into the practice space. Vibrations from a silenced cell phone can be distracting to others.
Bring a yoga mat.
We encourage you to bring
your own; however,
mats are available to rent for $5.
Drink plenty of water after each practice. Yoga helps build internal heat that will detoxify your body. Water helps eliminate those toxins through the body's natural cleansing process.
